Tasked with creating an innovative campaign and hosting an accompanying exhibition to represent the NASA Psyche Mission and appeal to a new demographic, “Heavy Metal Rock” is not only a pun about the metal asteroid which is the destination of the mission, but it is also a three-part homage to NASA, my father’s career as a spacecraft engineer, and his rock music I grew up listening to– which amazingly includes a lot of songs about space!
